Brian Chunn

Mr. Chunn has designed highway bridge structures over the last 28 years and has experience that includes new bridge design for roadway crossings and bridge rehabilitation design. Mr. Chunn has previous experience in segmental bridge Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) research utilizing techniques such as magnetic flux leakage, inductance testing and active infrared thermography. He was one of the contributors to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) 2017 segmental bridge NDT report “Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of a Segmental Concrete Bridge Scheduled for Demolition, with a Focus on Condition Assessment and Corrosion Detection of Internal Tendons”. He was also a contributor to the published TRB report No. 17-05231 entitled “Magnetic Flux Leakage Method for Detecting Corrosion in Post-Tensioned Segmental Concrete Bridges in the Presence of Secondary Reinforcement”. His long-term goal is to do innovative research in structures health monitoring as part of the Smart Cities program.
